On 1 January 2016 I gave a party to celebrate:

• my 70th birthday
• retirement from my post as Chaplain/Priest in Charge in Gothenburg, Sweden
• flat-warming in my new home on the Greenwich Peninsula
• and inauguration of a gap year

Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of the party, but I do have the collage below showing the highlights of the trip round the world at the climax of my gap year.  And I do have this blog, which I started to keep track of myself, and to help family and friends follow me on that journey.

The theme is travelling, physical, virtual and spiritual – but it’s difficult to write about the last of these.  So it’s mainly about journeys taken and books read over the last seven years.
