Decided on a stopover after my original flight to Delhi was rescheduled to arrive after 11 pm.  The alternative leaves at 0755 so will have to stay near the airport, but I can see something of Bangkok.

In fact, because of the loss of my credit cards, I stayed around the hotel, just popping out for a curry and a look at a small Buddhist temple across the river.  Before I left, I received a welcome message that the cards had been found. Fortunately there was a business card with my email address in the purse. Now I just hope the finder is willing to post them back to me in England. Not possible earlier, as I am nowhere for more than 2 nights.
