The pages in this section fall into two categories: books about travel, and travelling by reading.
In the first section, I have a reading list for my around-the-world journey, plus notes about books I read in 2016 before departure, and a few about long journeys read in 2019:
The second section comes from the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, when, unable to travel physically, I discovered the web site goodreads.com and one of its community groups, Around the World in 80 books. The original challenge was to read 80 books from 80 different countries – either set in the country, or by an author from the country, or preferably both. Ideally, the books should be read in the order in which I real-life traveller could visit the countries.
